A new web standard will kill passwords, meaning that they do not have to remember passwords for any website and service they use.
Web Authentication is a standard created to replace bio-metric identification passwords and devices that users use as a security key, smartphone, fingerprint scanner, or web camera.
Instead of recalling passwords, users can use their body or device that communicates with the website via Bluetooth, USB or NFC.
An example of how this standard will work is when a user visits a web site he receives a notification on the smartphone. Clicking a notification enables access without a password.
Users will also be able to use unique information for each service they use instead of using the same passwords on some websites as the easiest to remember.
Some sites and services already use similar identification methods such as Google or Facebook where users can access via a USB key.
Personally I find passwords easier. I think 2FA where I've got to pull out my phone is a pain in the ass. Then again I've got big slow thumbs and hate using my phone in general, lol.

If your phone or e-mail account is lost, it is lost in your cipher. That's not very safe. But it's a practical solution.

Interesting concept. But I think passwords will be still there for a while..
