We are planning on hatching Silkies very soon here, yes we will have more hens soon, but looks like nature took over because little Parker didn't live through the night. :'( :'( He was just too little to be able to handle the fight. Something internal must have been damaged because his head, wings and legs were fine...

At some point you may have to choose between which one you'll lose if Mr Pendock keeps being a meany face. Although from an evolution standpoint, you'll probably want to let them alone and the winner gets to live. Then your chickens will theoretically have stronger progeny. I'm not an animal biologist though... I only play one on television. :)

Ah man you guys really remind me of my family .. we're always bringing our animals and chickens into the house! Last night we had a guinea pig having a haircut! the week before it was a sick duck .. and I've lost count of the amount of abandoned chicks we've raised by hand. Awwww....... I was so touched by this one. Brotherly love indeed, I can feel the bonding so strong, it's beautiful. I had that bonding with my sister Juliet before she passed on and I miss her so much.

Alfalfa was just in chilling, no injuries thank goodness. Every once in a while Eddie will bring in a random chicken or roo to hang out for a bit and have a treat, no wonder they like him the best!
The equivalent to kitteh headbonk would probably be a little chicken wing flap. :) :) Or like the Punisher, a peck, that takes a chunk of your skull out.

LOL well okay flapflap at you and yours! The peck of doom is probably more like what I call "love nips," because yeah, Yuan will love nip. It's not an attack, it's affection, but don't fight it, because snatching your hand away can mean blood. Just go with it ...lol.
I love that Eddie randomly brings in chickens. This must be the secret to his chicken whisperer skills. I wonder what they think of the house? I read this tumblr thread about how humans must be like fae to animals: sometimes, we rescue them, sometimes, we spoil them with love, sometimes, we hunt and murder them. You never know if the fickle human is going to bless you with their magick powers and get you unstuck, or murder you and your family. Our technology being incomprehensible magick, of course. So those stories of wild animals asking humans for help or at least trusting them to do it, is like a human approaching a faerie mound and asking for the Gods' assistance. Maybe they'll help you, maybe they'll smite you, who knows? ¯\ _ (ツ) _ /¯

I wish there was a way to get Mr. Pendock and Peter Parker to get along as well as your sons! We need to develop some kind of chicken therapy, but as you said he DID know the rules before he ventured into forbidden territory. Some lessons are harder to learn than others, I guess!
