As the definition of conscientiousness states,"Conscientiousness is the personality trait of being careful, or vigilant. Conscientiousness implies a desire to do a task well, and take obligations of other seriously". The people who are high on this personality trait tend to do things thoughtfully and have a good control over their impulses and usually have a goal directed behaviour, not only that but they are organised and mindful of details.
people having conscientiousness become excellent employees and excel at their work. these people can't leave things undone. They have a habit to do things correctly and won't leave something until its done right.

• They spend their time preparing for things, being organised is important to them.
• They usually tend to do important things right away.
• They enjoy having a schedule which not only makes them more organised but also helps in increasing their productivity.
• They are highly self-disciplined which is linked to self-control or impulse control.
• Appearances are important to these people, they tend to stand straight, write down important dates, take notes and just keep important things in check.
• Conscientious people tend to be successful people and leaders as all these qualities above only helps them grow and move ahead of the pack.

If you're someone who is completely opposite of a conscientious person it'll be better to give it a try and follow a conscientious person and change your habits to that of a conscientious person.
Even by acquiring some of these habits you can improve your life and possibly influence others into becoming a better person, as this personality trait is one of the most admirable characteristic a person can have.
