Hello and Happy Sunday!
Next in "Discovering The Self" I wish to introduce a tool that over the years has been very helpful to Me and may help others.
This is called "The Daily Checklist". If you have a good memory this will not be needed, however if not a notebook or journal is necessary.
Now when you start your day, while still making plans for the day - write down a short outline of what you would like to see happen in your day. Also write that what you plan to accomplish.
When the day is pretty much over, get the journal back out. Before you get to what you wrote that morning, write down all the stressful, or emotionally charged moments of the day. All the events that "moved you". After that go back through these and ask yourself honestly what happened, why was you emotionally charged or excited. What did you do if anything to cause this situation to ocure, and in which way did you handle it.
Lastly, go back to what you wrote that morning. See what kept you on your path, and what swayed you off.
Examine your behaviors in relation to your original plan, and all the events other than that that happened. Also examine how you handled these events, and if you can remember it your emotions in relation to the events.
After a few weeks of this exercise your "Self" will slowly emerge before your eyes.
At this point you can examine the self, and decided who you are, and if it is not what your trying to project, what needs to be modified. The case with most of us is that we are " not" living as the person we tell ourselves we are.
However I believe you have to know where you are, the essence of yourself first. You cannot do anything with the "Self" that you do not know.
Thank You for viewing!
Wish You An Awesome Sunday!
