How to get organized - uncluttered space

Organization begins with a list

A list is the beginning of organization; now if I could just find that list.
Seriously, I believe this could be the answer I am looking for because no matter how much I read on the subject,unless I take action it is never going to happen.

For me, the organization has a lot to do with cleaning, I get what I can do when I feel like it. Here I am referring to the extra type of cleaning such as closets.

Most of us have heard of spring-cleaning and that is what I need to do this spring. Oh wait it is spring; spring has sprung.

Where to start? I look around and think DE-cluttering seems to be where it would really help me. That too can be placed on a list.

As many of you know I have done previous posts on organization well, because frankly, it soothes me to think there is a way.

Here are the tips I listed in my post 2 months ago.

Today I plan to finally get started. I know, right? Well, better than a year ago.

Tips

Before and after photos (so you keep it nice)
List of hot spots – pick 3
Pick 1 from your list and complete before moving to the next one. (This way you are not spreading your energy thin.)
Create your own list now.
Set a deadline for decluttering so it gets done.
Break down large tasks into smaller intermediate goals.
When you know why you want to do something it makes it easier to do.
Jot the top 3 reasons why you want to get organized. Keep it in mind the reason while getting it done.
Work in small blocks of time slow and steady.
Reward yourself when you get it done with anything but shopping. (You don’t want more clutter.)

Thanks! I was just planning on reorganizing my equipment locker for all my camera and video gear!

The best tip someone gave me was: just start, ideally small and, if gardening, near to the house, but mostly, just start.

I agree, and what you wrote is encouraging more to get on with organization; maybe look at it as a project of sorts.
