Are you All Up For A Selfie Challenge?

Papa Pepper's Selfie Challenge

Most of you know Papa Pepper, right? If not, now is the time to get to know him. He is one of the more helpful people on this platform and is constantly thinking up ideas to get people into the habit of a daily post.

So, the newest challenge WITH a price!! is this selfie challenge.

It is simple to enter. Just take a selfie with your username on a piece of paper. You don't even need to show your face if you are not into the selfie craze. On the other hand, this might be a good therapy to get to be okay with however we look like.

So, I decided to enter.

All you need to do is leave a selfie with your username as a response to Papa Pepper's post.

Even though there is a tree growing out of my head!

If you are worried about looking goofy in a selfie, just make a goofy face for the picture :)

And if you don't want to show your face, do this.

Why Participate in a Challenge like That?

Challenges are silly, you might say. A waste of time. Not serious enough.

And all of that is true - and false at the same time.

• Those kinds of challenges bring people together in community. Especially when pictures are involved. We get to be goofy and cheer each other on. To me, that is a great win!!

• We can learn something new. For example, I learned how to post a picture to a comment. I am sure there are many ways to do that - and eventually, I might know them all. This is the way I learned today. Create an account at Igmur https://imgur.com/. Upload your selfie to the platform and publish (you can choose a private option. Then click on your photo and this will pop up.

Copy the markdown link and paste it into the reply you want to make.

We are not quite finished. The link will look like this:

For the picture to show up in the reply, you have to add an ! in front of it.

Maybe there is an easier way, but that is what I figured out.

And here is another benefit:

I got my husband to join!!! He has one - yes friends 1 post to his name! That challenge might entice him to actually have some fun on here. (And I got to teach that old dog some new tricks! LOL )
