Indian Fry Bread
Ingredients
2 cps. Flour; ½ cp. powdered milk; ¾ tsp salt; 2 tsp baking powder; 1 tbsp. lard; ¾ cp. warm water; Oil
Mix flour, powdered milk, baking powder and salt. Work in lard until the texture is like corn meal.
Add water, knead for 1 minute. Form balls on a well-floured surface. Cover all the balls and let rest 10-15 minutes.
Roll each ball out into a circle and press a hole in the center. In about 2 inches of oil, fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels
