Hi, everyone! It's time to take your SEO capsule.
This is the first of a series of capsules about SEO.

So with today's capsule I will reply "in package" to everything I've been wondering people like, for example, about what is this "long tail"thing and, above all, how to take advantage of it for your blog or any other type of website, which is really what interests us in the matter and which, as you will see, if you know how to take advantage, it can be a huge push to the visits of your blog from search engines.

What is the Long Tail?

But before we jump to the answer, I want to tell you where this important concept on the Internet comes from.

The idea of the long tail has its origin in Chris Anderson's article, "The Long Tail", published in 2004 and later published in the bestseller "The Long Tail Economy".

The phenomenon is described as the trend in which, thanks to technology, the mass market becomes a niche market (another essential term of online marketing that you have read over and over again) because technology, for the first time, allows it to happen In the consumer society: This is, the sale of small quantities at low prices is now profitable.

For example, in companies such as Amazon with the sale of low-cost eBooks from unknown authors that would never become viable by conventional editorial change or by marketplaces of smartphone software like Google Play or the Apple Store.

The consequences of this changes is enormous and have very positive effects for the consumer as a much richer (more varied) offer is available and, at the same time, it becomes a challenge for the brands because, according to Anderson, in the Long Tail economy of the 21st century it will dominate the market which is capable of hoarding minority sales.

Wait, the definition?

Stay tuned for the next capsule for in depth definition of the Long Tail SEO.
