Brazil could easily be broken into at least 3 different countries. Continentally it's bigger than the US and more scarcely populated though 3/4 the size of its total population. And culturally, it's very diverse and not homogenous given it's size.

Break them up even more. A federation of counties, not countries, would work just fine as well. :)

I believe there is about 4 or 5 separatist movements in Brazil. But only the ones in the Northeast, São Paulo and the South are organized. If all of them got together and fought the government it would be swell.
