Serena's Selections - Fun Friday! (Random awesome bloggers fished out of the sea you!)

in serenaselections •  6 years ago

Well now. I've been a bit distracted this week.. I only did the Monday music curation post this week because I refuse to miss it, ever. It's going to be the one true consistent weekly post. I hope someday to be able to send little rewards to the people I feature.

But currently, if you see my wallet, you will find that I'm not very wealthy, and I actually do take SBD out for bills and rent and food and such.. but, on the other hand, I am also powering up my steem whenever I can. I'm doing my best to do this right. I'm still a padawan plankton, you know. Not even a minnow yet. But soommmmemeeeeday..

Here's a pic of what life is like in summer in Tennessee in the back yard here. Not very elegant, but it's home and I love the back yard. It looks a bit different this year. We have sunflowers and zinnias and no working lawnmowers. It's a bit growing out of control now, so no pictures of that! A fan is there to keep the mosquitoes away. Life tip, a fan on high speed works very well to keep bugs away from you.

This is actually a picture from last year. That's my daughter in the picture. That's our cat, Midnight, as well.. next to her. He was a stray then, but we took him in and made him part of the family, but found out that he had FIV (feline AIDS) and he sadly passed away a few months later. He was very much loved while he was with us. I'm happy that he wasn't alone in his last days. Always so hard to lose a kitty, though. I loved him so very much.

So.. anyway.. I've had some new things happening and such. Exploring new things and working on some projects that have taken me away from my own blog a little bit. But I have some fun news for you this week if you missed it..

The very exceptionally talented @yidneth surprised me with a gift! She added vocals, flute, piano and harp to the "Moon Hanging Low" track I shared earlier in the week, and it's amazing!

Serena Matthews and Priscilla Hernandez:

She just whipped it right up like it was no big deal. It's truly magical. So I want to share with you all. It's pretty freaking amazing. Her brilliance is unlimited. Thank you @yidneth! ♥ I love it SO MUCH! ♥ Please click through to hear the song and visit her blog.
It would be so very much appreciated if you could send some love @yidneth's way! She put so much love herself into it. I hope she gets just as much back. Thank you so much for listening!

And now for some awesome posts I've found this week that are super fantastic and are in need of well-deserved attention! Please give your generous upvotes, and maybe even a resteem and/or follow as well!

DLive OBS Tutorial by @carrieallen

Carrie has outdone herself here! If you have never seen one of Carrie Allen's DLive streams, they are brilliant and colorful and so creative! She creates plays and skits with her hubby, @chrisroberts, as well as with some other fabulous steemians who lend their voices (literally) to her streams, which include some seriously amazing stories and even some old timey commercials!

And here she has done an OBS tutorial for people just like ME who are beginners and really have not much of an idea of what we're doing. She even time-stamps the topics, in case you are very specifically needing to know something in particular:

OBS SETTINGS
5:25 General
5:42 Stream
6:02 Output
9:54 Audio
12:28 Video
14:14 SCENE SETUP (includes, pulling in sources)
22:33 GO LIVE!
23:44 Stream URL (in OBS)

Carries tutorial is amazing and it's in need of some extra love for sure!! Please check it out and say hello! She also has created some super helpful markdown tutorials as well! And she's a sweet sweet person! Bonus!! And she's so cute! Bonus bonus! ♥ UPVOTE!

Finally, since I missed #IntroduceYourself Thursday this week, I'm going to throw in a brand new Steemian for you to check out today!

He seems very cool, has some really unique interests (bushcraft, anyone?) And... I must confess, I think he has some really awesome hair.

Great Post again and a lot of amazing Peeps you catched up to shown to the Community

I heartily endorse the idea of a backyard full of zinnias and sunflowers with no working lawnmowers.

Hope your all success in the steem

I don't have the necessary ambition to do this kind of curation post, so I'm glad to see that you do. Much support for your efforts!
