Alice in the Borderlands premiered on Netflix in December 2020. This is one of my favorite series, which even "Squid Games" could not surpass. But the release of the second season unexpectedly dragged on and became similar to what Aris had to endure in the first season.
The release of the second season of "Alice" is scheduled for December 2022 (two years after the release of the first episodes).
In March 2022, Netflix confirmed that filming for the second season had officially wrapped.
As expected, in the new season, ten actors who survived the games of the first season will face more serious tests.
Season 1 of Alice covers about half of Haro Aso's manga, with about 33 more chapters to go. But, let's not forget that the creators of the Netflix adaptation could have taken a different path to extend the story.
At the end of the first season, Arisu had just survived the death games, having lost his friends Chota and Korube. Which led him to the final Ten of Hearts game, where everyone had to identify the "Witch" that hid among them. After a truly horrific massacre, Arisu figured out that Momoka was a witch, which led to another revelation - that she and Asahi were actually deliberately sabotaging the game.
This eventually leads Arisa and Usagi to the control room, where they meet a stranger named Mira, who announces a brand new set of games taking place in Tokyo. This means that Arisu's time in the game is far from over, and this new controller could be even more dangerous than the ones that came before it.
Wait for the next season, there is not much left!
