Researchers took the popular series "Game of Thrones" based on the saga "Song of Ice and Fire” George R.R. Martin. Using fast computers and demographic analyzes, they attempted to determine the probability of survival of fictional characters. Who will survive in Westeros and sit on the Iron Throne?
Anyone who has come across the intricate narrative of George R. R. Martin, and a film-based story on it, has all the basics to doubt the predictions of the events taking place in "Game of Thrones". Sudden twists and blows, unexpectedly falling on favourite heroes, often surprised or even shocked. In the real world you can predict death, or who will lose or win in power conflicts. All you need is computers and demographic analysis called survival analysis. So why not try to explain the probability of surviving completely fictional characters? The "Game of Thrones" series for this kind of research is extremely good.
Winter is here. The instability of governments and weather phenomena throughout history has been linked to higher homicide rates and other acts of violence. It will happen and it will hurt. Who will sit on the Iron Throne? It is hard to have hope in the logic of the uncertain world of "Game of Thrones". Are any of the researcher's predictions were real? We will see in April.
