That's actually a good question @harbourmaster, one that has an answer you won't like. It's not possible... yet.

Just be patient, Steem is still quite new.

However, you can follow people who publish in English and on topics that interest you, and your feed will be filled with articles written in English that you want to read. Many users who have been here for at least a few months don't go to the Trending page to read stories, they have enough in their Feed.
