Hi Steemians! Today is the last day of my Seven Day Black & White Challenge and I would like to thank @jupal2 very much for nominating me to take part in it. It's been a great week of posting pictures about an aspect of my life. The aspect that I tried to capture was the vast amount of traveling that I had done over the past year. To me, traveling is an essential part of my life since I feel a strong need to leave the confines of everyday life to gain a different perspective on my life and society in general. Through traveling to different cities around the world that have a unique feel and experience to offer, I am able to experience a joy and sense of fulfillment that I can't get if I just stayed in the area in which I live.
I'll go into where each photo was taken and the experience behind each of them:
Day 1
This is a picture of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle in the background. I was walking along the river when I happened to glance to the right and see this view. I thought it captured the light of the setting sun and its reflection in the water well :)
Day 2
This is a shot from somewhere in Iceland, it was the first country that made me feel like I was on a different planet. Everything was so unique and it had a lot to offer! Recommend anyone to visit them :)
Day 3
This is the view from a friend's apartment in Korea. He came to Australia when he was around 10 years old to go to school there, but had to move back after an year or so. During my travel back to Korea, I was able to meet him and catch up with him. I love how traveling gives me and other people opportunities like this!
Day 4
This is a view from a bridge in Oradea, Romania. It was the furthest east I'd traveled in Europe and I was entranced by the different atmosphere that it had. While I was walking its streets I strongly remember the feeling that everyone here had a past that I wanted to hear about.
Day 5
This was a view over the city of Prague. I loved the pink hue and the minute details I could see on all the buildings. I stared at this for a long time after I climbed to the top of the hill.
Day 6
This was Neuschwanstein Castle, a castle at the bottom of Germany. I went to this place recently and will write a blog on my adventure there soon. It was a real challenge trudging through the snow and it gave me a bad cold which I am still fighting today!
Day 7
I'll end this seven day challenge by posting a picture of where I am currently staying in Munich. I came here for an year long exchange and I have enjoyed it from the moment I got here. This is the biggest adventure yet as I haven't left home for this long before and I am excited for the times ahead!
I had a lot of fun doing this challenge and I hope you are inspired by my photos to start or continue your own seven day black and white challenge as well!
