THE SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE IN BLACK AND WHITE

This is Day 5 of my #sevendaybnwchallenge.

It features The Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia.

I have just read James's @jctdesign "A Long Overdue Introduction," post and greatly admired his photography images. I spied a simply stunning black and white shot and suspect he may have a few more quality photos in his collection. And this is why I'd like to nominate him @jctdesign (just in case you missed the first tag James (: ) to come onboard with this fun challenge.

Rules of the Challenge:
7 black-and-white images that represent an important part of your life;
Present a picture every day for 7 days;
No people;
No explanation;
Nominate somebody everyday, though everyone can join;
Use the #sevendaybnwchallenge tag as one of your five tags;
...have fun

Love this photograph! Bridges have always amazed me. You should use the new hashtag #bridgesoftheworld by @tattoodjay

Oh, thanks @ninahaskin I wasn't aware of this hashtag. Will file it away for future reference.

Bridges are awesome, though it is usually the underside I am looking at as I am generally fishing when looking at them. The underside is usually where the interesting stuff is anyway. Not the case with the Coathanger.

I absolutely agree. I wouldn't be interested in fishing beneath the Harbour Bridge either.......unless I hooked some long forgotten treasure from a sunken pirate ship. lol

Very nicely captured! Like this one!

Thanks very much @kaminchan for your appreciation. Have a great week.

Shows nicely in BnW!!

Thank you kindly @old-guy-photos The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a very recognizable construction so it makes a change to see it in black and white.

Yes, the Opera House is great! And I would love to see your shots of it in Black and White. However, I think you meant the Coat Hanger is very recognisable, with Luna Park in the background you must be fairly close to the opera house to have taken this shot.

Very observant of you @andyfishman Have edited my mistake. Thanks for that. I took this shot from the top deck of a cruise ship at Circular Quay just before Christmas so I was nice and close. We sailed down to Tassie, Adelaide and Melbourne and enjoyed every single moment.

I figured it must have been from a boat because of the angles. I know that area quite well.

Very nice trip, not surprised you enjoyed it.

I will be posting more of The Sydney Harbour and my cruise in the weeks ahead. Thanks so much for chatting with me this morning @andyfishman I've enjoyed getting to know you better. It's time to get lunch organized and do a bit of boring house work. (Yuk) I wish a nice, juicy fillet of 'Redfin.' was on my menu.

It has been my pleasure. It is great that there is a bit of interaction between the members of this community. So many platforms people just post and expect recognition without interaction.

I totally agree @andyfishman Genuine interaction makes all the difference. Will catch up again soon.

Reminds me of the old shots. Lovely.

My grandmother had some great photos of the bridge being built. I will have to track them down.

Yes @andyfishman. I think there would be a lot of people on Steemit interested in seeing them. Have you joined @teamaustralia here?

I have not joined the team. I have seen the tag around, but am kinda finding my feet still.

I haven't joined yet either as I haven't worked out how to go about it but I'm sure it would benefit both of us.

I am a little late to see this, but thank you for thinking of me. I did this challenge last month, so I am not quite ready to reapeat it, but thanks again for the kind words and the nomination.

Great shot by the way!

Hey, that's quite alright. I was making a few stabs in the dark with choosing nominees being a newbie and of course there was no obligation. I've had to turn one or two down myself as I just didn't have time. I appreciate your thoughtfulness in getting back to me @jctdesign
