A long-standing leader in the culture of death, Ontario has just taken a new step in the establishment of gay and anti-Christian totalitarianism. The left-wing majority of the parliament of the province has just adopted, on the eve of the summer holiday session, "Law 89", which expands the powers of social services to place children whose Parents would contravene the dominant ideology. Adopted widely
The law provides that children may be removed from their homes if their parents oppose LGBTQI rights and gender ideology. First targets: Christians.
The law also makes it possible to prevent couples opposed to these rights and ideology from adopting or being recognized as foster families.
The title of the law, in the purest tradition of inversion of Pravda and the Orwellian "Newspeak", announces the opposite of what will be done: "Support for children, young people and families". The text adds the factors of "gender identity" and "gender expression" to all those who must be considered in determining "the best interests of the child", according to which it may be Separated from his parents and placed with adults who have obtained the approval of the public authorities.
Gay totalitarianism imposes a law against parental authority in Ontario
At the same time, the legal provisions eliminate the consideration of the parents' religion, with social services being asked to focus only on the child's "belief" or "religion" to Determine its "best interests".
It is obviously a usurpation of parental rights absolutely "unprecedented in the history of Canada", as Jack Fonseca, head of the Canadian pro-life and pro-family association Campaign Life Coalition, For whom his country thus entered an era of totalitarian power.
Interestingly, the Conservatives in the Ontario Parliament who had massively approved the bill at second reading, unanimously adopted by parliamentarians in March, revised their position. The mobilization of "three or four" MPs who highlighted the dangers of such a law at a conservative convention 15 days ago made them change their minds by saying that they could not in conscience Vote for a law "fundamentally and morally wrong," said a participant at the meeting at LifeSiteNews. The Conservatives chose to oppose the project as a whole.
Jack Fonseca rejoiced at this awakening of intelligences and consciences: "In the end, they chose to vote against tyranny. And I thank God that they have done it, for it is a symbol of resistance. "
Soon Canada will be able to pull children out of Christian parents who oppose LGBT rights
But for all other parliamentarians in Ontario, it would appear that the rights of parents are now negligible. The idea is to ensure the "protection" of a child who would suffer or would be exposed to the "risk" of suffering mental or emotional harm and whose parents would not afford him the means to obtain "treatment". One thinks of course of the blockers of the puberty and other "therapies" proposed in case of "confusion of kind".
In addition, the Act amends the previous Act providing that the competent child welfare agency should take "the less disturbing form of action". On the contrary, Bill 89 provides for "prevention services, early intervention services and community support services", which would not only render obsolete the idea of intervening only in " As a last resort but would put in place ample devices to take the lead.
The purpose of the legislation was clearly articulated during the discussion by Michael Coteau, Minister of Children and Family Services of Ontario. He stated, in particular, that the text should apply to cases where a child identifying with a "gender" other than his or her sex was opposed by his or her parents. "I would consider this as a form of abuse. (...) If it is maltreatment, and this falls under the qualifiers of the law, the child could be removed from this environment and placed under protection in a place where the abuse would end ".
I do not agree with your assessment that Bill 89 is 'totalitarian' and allows the government to steal children from decent, god-fearing Christian parents, blah blah blah. Bill 89 seems far from perfect. Valid criticisms are found here: https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2017/03/13/ontario-child-protection-bill-criticized-for-weasel-words.html
However to say that parents are now at risk of having their children taken away just because of issues around sexuality is absurd. The law merely includes a child's sexuality and gender identity as a potential aspect of the pattern of abuse inflicted upon the child by a caregiver. It's just one more thing to take into account. Other forms of abuse would have to have occurred to warrant the government stepping in.
Unless you think it's ok for a child to be beaten by his parents because he's gay.
