Hello Groover's here we are at week 4 and I can hardly believe it has been a month already, how time flies when your having fun! And that is exactly what it has been for me so far, lots of fun and some brilliant music for good measure.

We have started to get a good group of regulars that just keep coming back to entertain and wow us, I have found some new faces and been so excited to see some familiar ones coming back to join us.

It's an absolute pleasure to be able to do this job, one I absolutely adore and I really couldn't imagine doing anything else - so a massive thank you to all those who have entered, without you none of this would be possible.

I am so thrilled to see SGL take of in it's own little blaze of glory, I remember the first time @isaria suggested we launch our own music contest - it was the perfect timing and we found the most amazing group of super talented people and things just came together beautifully.

So I will do my little happy dance that we've made it through one month, but I would like to thank each and every one of you that have made this amazing opportunity a reality!

Also so you all know, again my selections were submitted in time - just late with the post sorry.

Without further delays here is my top 5 selection for week 4 of SGL:

First Place:

@p4ragon - Sonic Groove Live Week 4 Cover The Stolen Child - Loreena McKennit

Ohhhhh hell yeah! This is just freakin brilliant on every single level, you really just took it to a whole new level this week. Your voice is just so angelic and phenomenal, I am completely blown away!

Wow this is hard to think where to start, but I guess it's your overall tonality. Holy wow you have this amazing ability to make your voice seem almost ethereal, it's absolutely stunning. You have a rather remarkable vocal range, displaying a massive range of notes - with some truly breathtaking moments of crushing power.

It is obvious you have some sublime vocal power there, but its how you choose to use it and when. Creating this elaborate intricate wave of emotion, capturing the essence of the song beautifully. I can close my eyes and I am immediately taken away to another world, filled with terrifying beauty.

Its such a beautiful song, I had not heard it before or the poem by Yeats. But I have to say this is just epic I love songs that tell a story, even more when they are so unique and create such an amazing world for me to escape into.

I have to mention that fact that these are not the easiest of lyrics to sing, I noticed moments where you must be masterful with breath control. Another skill you demonstrated fantastic ability with, especially when I consider the fact you're sitting down for your performance.

I also absolutely adore your accent <3 but it always amazes me how the accent completely disappears when singing, just a cute side note I've noticed with singers. You have an operatic quality to your voice, not only your range, control and power, but also technique and the combination of it all together.

I had no option but to try and sing along with you, not to mention the countless times I was compelled to listen to this entry. You just really took things to this whole new level of fantasy and magic, there was an intensity to your performance that was just absolutely captivating.

From your last entry I was really excited to see what you'd come out with next, I never expected this. You show an amazing versatility in style and genre, which all comes from your skill base - which I have to say is rather kick ass!

I am constantly going back over and I cannot hear a single mistake, not a wrong note or timing issue in the entire performance. I have to say given the structure of the song that is impressive on its own, as a singer I look a the lyrics and how they fit with the music at times this song is a lot of work and you just smash it out effortlessly.

I was blown away the first listen and now on god know how many, I am still just as in awe as I was on the first listen. That is why you had to come first for me this week, especially given how brilliant your last entry was - I didn't know there would be even more amazing!

You really stepped things up in an amazing way and I really really really can't wait to hear more from you and really soon too I hope, but just wow, breathtaking and brilliant in epic proportions... I'm a fan <3

Second Place:

@betaniagmusic - Sonic Groove Live Week #4 "Vida" -Original

Ohhhh wow.... This was just epic in every sense, stunning playing, brilliant composition, it all just fell perfectly into place in the most amazing way.

Firstly.. dam that was a truly bloody phenomenal composition! You have created something with so much depth and creativity, so many layers, textures, moments and feelings, what an incredible achievement. With such an amazingly brilliant result, I was completely and utterly blown away by this entry.

I am a little stunned at your amazing skill level, especially when you consider your age.... I am only guessing here but I have no idea how someone as young as you is skilled enough to not only play, but compose a piece of music such as this... just amazing!

Now I want to focus on your composition at first, because it really deserves the attention. You ease into the first note and it builds from this instance, you create a flowing moving canvas painting as you go. There is an amazing feel of flow throughout, one moment drawing into the next and compounding upon it.

You have incorporated fantastic tempo changes throughout, using them to enhance the emotion and feeling of the moment. There is a feeling I get when listening where I am swept up in the music, I can feel intrinsically where it is going and how each moment will enhance the one before.

One moment almost sorrow, the next light and happy, almost skipping along, Life is the perfect title for this masterpiece! You have captured the tumultuous nature life's unpredictability offers, but you also show the joy and light and possibility.

I am truly amazed by this composition and have listened to it countless times and each time I hear it I find more I want to say about it, you really are a truly incredible musician.

Now for your playing well I have to say again, it is absolutely faultless. You never miss a note, a transition of tempo, or mood, all are effortlessly mastered and presented in complete perfection. This is just insane, I have heard children and adults playing violin and they could not make it sing like you do.

You have some seriously impressive skills not only as a musician but also as a composer and I am really excited to hear more of your original compositions soon... Just breathtakingly amazing <3

Third Place:

@edwardstobia - Sonic Groove Live Week 4 - "Mala compañía// Bad company " by @edwardstobia

This was an absolutely stunning performance guys, you all just smashed it completely! Wow, this was incredible from those very first notes - I adored the violin so much, it just took things to the next level.

To be honest all the playing is just perfection, you all truly master your instruments and it is just so enjoyable to hear them all come together here. I was just blown away from the instant it started and best yet you kept me hooked for the entirety of the performance.

Edward you voice is just pure emotion and passion, you always capture the essence of the lyric and make it this epic emotive connection. I really have to mention the violin again, it really was a stunning addition to this performance - enhancing the emotion even further, it was truly captivating!

I really love the fullness this performance has, you absolutely captured the moment with this stunning entry. I am also thrilled to see all the collaborations and covering other artists from the platform, its always amazing to see who knows one an other (not to mention new faces being added to the mix).

All round a fantastic performance and entry, I am really excited to see what you have for us again next week!

Fourth Place:

@wilins - Sonic Groove Live - week #04 / Original and new song: "Amores que se van - Loves that go away".

Wilins you just never cease to amaze me man, you have just the most emotive voice ever. Always dripping with the emotion of the moment, epic and so impactful it really is the staple of a classic brilliant Wilins entry!

Your playing as always is just impeccable, you have also chosen a stunning location for your entry. I love the birds adding even more to this entry, just absolutely stunning <3

A sad beautiful song, with an almost hopeful tone though with an acceptance of the situation. Which is why the birds chirping adds so much to this, even if unintended - their song makes it feel that even though the meaning is sad, life continues on round and round we go.

Just another brilliant example of your amazing musicianship, you really never fail to impress and I just love your music so I of course cannot wait for more my friend and soon!

Fifth Place:

@jubei333 - Sonic groove live week #4 - Sweet Dreams (Cover )

Firstly this a fantastic song choice, after reading your post this sounds like a fantastic job of reworking this classic into something else. Your adaptation has made this song build it's intensity in a new and unique way, adding this haunting effect and feel to the song that I just love.

I really love your vocals in this performance, whilst not filled with vocal gymnastics it added texture and flavor that I just adored. You really made this song sound so different to other versions I have heard, for a classic like this I have to say it's impressive to hear a new rendition that doesn't rely on those that came before it.

You have a really nice tone and texture to your vocals throughout the performance and I would love to hear it with more room to play with, I understand the needs of the song dictated your performance. However I think you would have a really amazing tone with almost anything, so really keen to see what else your able to do to wow us.

Just a fantastic performance, with a really nice rework of a classic - I just really hope to hear more from you again soon!
