20 Things I’ve Noticed In My Second Shadow Of Mordor Playthrough

This is mostly going to list, but I will go into depth on some of these. [Note I will go into the DLC another time.]

1.) The enemies don’t have much of a reaction if you sprint through the area.
2.) Stealth is mandatory in some places because the rest of the game can be completed without it. (They seem to make it mandatory in a few early missions to make you think it’s needed throughout it all. It isn’t, but makes things much more interesting.)
3.) Side missions are overly easy. (I.e. you can just brute most of them and if you are good at combat it will only take seconds.)
4.) Runes make the bow overpowered. Full charged headshots already kill standard Orcs, but there are tons of runes that make it so the captains are one or two shot kills.
5.) Health regeneration only exist when being hidden in bushes or on the towers. (You need to find plants to restore health elsewhere.)
6.) Combat system is extremely close to that of the Batman Arkham game series. (You can brute those as well except in stealth mandatory missions.) [P.S I know a lot of games have similar combat]
7.) (This is just an annoyance I found in my first playthrough.) The cut-scenes do not change to show whatever skin you have chosen. [Batman Arkham City is similar but a lot of the cut-scenes do reflect the change.]
8.) Focus Mode is practically useless outside slowing time. You can barely see anything outside the Orcs shapes. (Noticed in first playthrough as well.)
9.) Some mini-bosses seem to take zero damage unless you stun kill moves.
10.) Some die instantly without you even knowing they were mini-bosses.
11.) Wetness on the suit looks terrible.
12.) If he draws/sheaths his sword he stands up when hiding in bushes.
13.) Cape physics are almost non-existent.
14.) Stun kills allow you to counter even if mid-swing. (Again I’m going to compare this to Arhkam City. You can’t counter if doing a stun kill in that one.)
15.) Wraith jumps can happen in really annoying areas/areas it is not needed at all. (Some small walls still trigger it and some of the small buildings trigger it.) [Useless unless jumping from towers, (dropping from towers is much faster as you don’t have to wait a few seconds for him to stand,) or from at least 4 story high buildings.]
16.) Ithildin glyphs are a missed opportunity to have creative hiding places.
17.) You don’t fully turn into the Wraith when hiding in bushes.
18.) Caragor combat, [while riding one,] is too easy to kill mini-bosses.
19.) When hanging from ropes you don’t seem to actually hold on at all.
20.) Last, but not least. Elf shot is really annoying to collect. Either you find it laying around or you drain an Orc.

I play with custom video settings. I have it basically Ultra settings but I disabled Camera Blur. I will work on a list for each of the DLC at some point. Also, remember this is just my opinion and this is just a list of what annoyed me.
