How to create a sharepoint 2013 on premise site

  1. Central Administration > Application Management page
  2. Under the heading “Web Applications” click on Manage web applications.
  3. Click on New
  4. Enter the name of iis
  5. Enter port number. Example: port 80
  6. Enter host header
  7. Click "no" to allow anonymous, unless you want the site to be anonymous
  8. Click "no" use secure sockets layer (SSL), unless you want a secure https site
  9. Create a new application pool name
  10. Under configurable choose a web app service account and never use farm account
  11. Enter database server name
  12. Enter Database name
  13. Enter a failover database server name, only if you have one
  14. Click okay
  15. Pop up will show up with a link to create a site collection. Click on that link
  16. Enter name of the site
  17. Select your template
  18. Enter your primary and secondary administrator
  19. Click okay to finish
  20. now you can open the site by entering in the site url
