Sherlock
IMDb: 9.1
Season: 04
Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite characters. So far I have watched 2 film series and 2 TV series about Sherlock Holmes. A film series about Sherlock Holmes was made in 1939. Which ended in 1947. There were a total of 14 films in that series.

The series Adventures Of Sherock Holmes began with Sherlock Holmes in 1984. Which ended in 1994. I also watched the BBC's Sherlock Holmes film series starring Sherlock and Robert Downey Jr.. In my opinion, the two best productions of Sherlock Holmes so far were the BBC's Sherlock Holmes and the ITV series Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994).
Not that the film series had two bad ones. But I like the two TV series more than the film. And I will try to review and describe these two TV series in detail. In yesterday's post I discussed Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994). Today I will talk about BBC's Sherlock
spoiler alert
In this series, Sherlock Holmes and his colleague Dr. John Watson are living in the 21st century. And trying to solve the various crimes that have taken place in the 21st century. Sherlock Holmes began to fidget when he didn't get the case as usual. And he can go to any stage to solve the case.
In yesterday's post, I said that the BBC likes this Sherlock more than any movie or series made on Sherlock Holmes. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is the right adaptation, but all in all, the BBC's Sherlock series is a little too good.
In terms of character, I mentioned in the last post that Jeremy Brett of Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes as the character of Sherlock seemed to be the best of all time. But Benedict did nothing wrong. Edward Hardwicke of The Adventures Of Sherock Holmes, from Martin Freeman to John Watson.
This modern adaptation has also seen huge changes in the lives of the characters. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984-1994) is largely based on the career of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. Their personal lives were not given much attention. The opposite has been seen in the BBC's Charlotte. The series features the love lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as well as their love-lives. Where John Watson married and became the father of a child, Sherlock did not hesitate to trap women in his love to succeed in his work. John Watson's wife Mary's life has many hidden pasts. And this past is able to influence its present and future.
As I said in the last post, the BBC's Sherlock was a little better and more exceptional as a character and story. Despite the fact that Sherlock Holmes is such an iconic character, the producer has brought his story into the 21st century and built the series in such a good way in a new way. The courage and skill of the manufacturers must be commended here.
When it comes to negative characters, I find the BBC's negative characters better and more powerful than the negative characters in Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Criminal mastermind Professor James Moriarty found the BBC's Charlotte to be more powerful and cold-tempered than any other movie or series. Seeing him sometimes seems like crazy again and he didn't forget to show his skills as a criminal. Again, a character like Magnussen is not seen in many episodes, but he is portrayed as powerful enough. His intelligence was also worth seeing.
The feud between Sherlock Holmes and his arch-rival James Moriarty is highlighted a little deeper on the BBC's Charlotte. James Moriarty comes forward with the conviction to destroy Sherlock by any means. In his mindset and intelligence he seemed to be more harmful to this series than any other series.
Sherlock Holmes' older brother, Microsoft Holmes, is portrayed as a much-needed character in the series, rather than in Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Microsoft is seen in almost every episode that is not seen in every episode of Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. In this series again, the aspect of Sherlock's exceptional relationship with Molly Hooper has been highlighted. The parents of Sherlock Holmes are also seen in this series.
In fact, most of the episodes of Adventures Of Sherock Holmes tell the story of England. The events of Afghanistan and India were highlighted but it was not too much considering the episodes of the series. In the modern adaptation, the BBC's Charlotte, set in the context of the 21st century, has a lot to offer internationally. The story of Iran, North Korea or important Georgia is also told here.
The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes was good as an adaptation. But all in all, the BBC's Sherlock looks good.
