So this is my theory, but I think the reason they stick around is due to the humidity levels. In the Winter, when it's cold but really dry, no clouds in the sky, your breath dissipates more quickly. So should your farts. When there is more humidity, your breath takes longer to dissipates. So should your farts.
My fart knowledge is immense, because of the fartoma therapy I live in daily.
What was it I said to my friends this week end? Oh yeah, there was the song "Talk dirty to me" playing on the radio and I said that when I tell Frank to talk dirty to me, he farts.
