Badger trail, and entrance to secret base

in shitty-photography •  5 years ago

These are a few shots of my garden, taken with my phone, on a nuclear-clouded overcast day. When the sun comes out again (if it ever does) I will go out with my GH4 and snap shots of this wild untameable landscape. I spent many a lifetimes in my youth trying to overcome this garden, but it is too much for any sentient being to handle. By the time you finish a third of it, where you begun has already started to overgrow again. With climate change and all the extra CO2 in the air, it has overgrown to epic proportions. Not even a team of highly trained underpaid migrant workers could tame this shrew.

You can see a trail in this shot leading to a plate. This is the badger's trail. One night I might stalk the area and try to snap him, but I have never tested my wits and patience against a badger before, so I don't know how I would fair...

The badger doesn't like noodles... or tomatoes. Whatever the badger hates, it throws to the side like a scorned lover.
The bread etc, is for the birds.

This is the entrance to my new secret base. I am creating space, and building a fire pit to spend my winter nights with. When I was growing marijuana, in a secret space beyond this secret space (it's a big garden), I would use spare branches and foliage to completely cover the entrance, camouflaging it into invisibility mode. Unfortunately the slugs ate the marijuana. I should have potted them, then transplanted when they were big enough to defend themselves against this beast of a garden. I'll maybe get some pics when the fire pit arena is complete.

If the sun comes up, I will map different segments, try to capture the wildlife, and give you a slice of my life when I'm not in the big city. I am often aroused from bed by yellow tit birds, knocking on my window, demanding to be fed. Such is life in the countryside. It is no place for old men... The animals and beasts would consume me without the constant tribute.

well i liked that entrance to that secret base

Gardens and firepits and secret places are great. No need to tame it. Just carve out a small place for yourself in it.

Awesome stuff man.

No need to tame it.

So true. I enjoy it much more as an overgrown wilderness. If it was tame I wouldn't think of creating a fire pit. Normally I would go camping to enjoy fire in the wilderness, but with this blossomed wilderness I just have to step outside and I'm deep in nature.
