Google New Suicide Attempt - Shoelace

Googles ugly breakup with social networking platform Google plus was not enough, now Google decided to add a new social networking platform to its list of venture (Come-on , move on, there is something better out there). This launch comes immediately few months after the company decided to shut down Google+ (for good), its most successful attempt (failed one) at creating a social media website.

What is Shoelace?

Okay, so this so-called new social network Shoelace (an app tho) that determined to bring people closer (they all do the same) in real-life (why ??), not just digitally, through common interests and activities (lets hope this adds to some fruitful outcome).

According to the Shoelace portal:

“Shoelace is a one more mobile app that aims to connect masses with commonn interests through in person activities. It’s great for people who have recently moved cities (may be they wants to target criminals on the run? or bunch of hitchhiker) or who are looking to meet others who live nearby (what about introvert, who don't care and don't want to meet others)

In simple words, the new social networking Shoelace is aimed to help like-minded people easily plan and organise events locally and perform carryout their activities (hmmm !!!).

Google in its new attempt of social networking website, is no threat to Facebook existence (We all know that), instead Shoelace is design to anticipate the nearby activities and active participation (can we say Shoelace is more like Facebook Events ?)

Shoelace is created by the something called Area 120 (2 times Area 51 + 18 garages, not really), Areas 12 is Googles workshop for product experiment. Innovation is not everyone cup of Tea, for some reason Shoelace is similar to Schemer (does this hit something in your head?) Schemer was event app of initiated 2011 and finally demolished in year 2015 (I think, my cat lived better time period than Schemer)

How SHOELACE works?

Shoelace is build or created around to utilise the technology for real peoples regular meet-ups and real-world connections. Their aim is to bring people together based on their interest and create a bond of like minded and enthusiast based upon their interest, just like laces on shoes, (Ah, now I get it, but Matrimony websites around the world, has some part similar to Shoelace, just saying)

This "shoe-lacing" idea is to be carried out or get done through "Loops". (What is this?)

Shoelace determined to provided you the platform to supercharge your social connection, and connecting you to likeminded crowd sharing same interest. Obviously it is better when share common interest and passion.
You can go ahead and create your own event activities and event and invite other with hope to join and arrange get-together.

How to use SHOELACE?

Shoelace enables its user to select hand-picked events, activities and meet-ups around everyday. So its like there will be a list of activities and event and user can select from i.e.running, dogs, literature & books, wine & dine, decor & furniture etc. (lets hope every event get good number of attendees, we have loads of unemployed roaming around)

How to Join and Who can Join Shoelace?

Shoelace at this moment is strictly invite only and undergoing the testing cycle for iOS and Android application. New York is the only city which has beta version made available. Google is testing this on restricted group of people. The flamboyant Area 120 says it is expecting to launch the app to other cities and eventually across the globe.
