Which charity store should I frequent?

In my area, there are Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul, Our Town Thrift Store, Bargains & More Thrift Store, the Salvation Army, American Council of the Blind and many others.

I've gone to Goodwill several times and they have a good selection, but I've noticed that they tend to be slightly more expensive than, say, S.A., and some of their prices are the same as regular stores, such as for candles. In addition, their prices are inconsistent; I got one Snap Circuit kit for about $3, but another cost $14. In addition, I know that both GW and SVdP work with the State for the FSET and W-2 workforce programs, i.e.: they get program "volunteers" free of charge to help do work in their stores.

Bargains & More is a bit more expensive than SA & GW, but they offer some free clothes. Their store is very quiet - the location seems good but they don't get many visitors, which is partly because their lighted sign is broken, and partly because it's not obvious that they are a thrift store.

I haven't seen ARC here.

Does anyone have any thoughts? The closest to my home is probably SA, Our Town and B&M.

I live in the Milwaukee, WI area.
