HELLO BIG DOOR | Short Story by; The.wise

in shorttext •  6 years ago

The wooden door looks like it was made as a one-piece construction. It stands there and shows its carvings proud to the person studying it. It looks just as new as it would have 18 years ago, but the doorknob made of silver, and tainted with copper are black and green. The top of the knob is full of dust and the floor beneath the door is full of dirt. The person finds it curious and gets an itch to find out what´s behind the door. He stands there, thinking of the possibilities. His thoughts are wavering all over the place. Could it be a naked lady, standing at ready to caress him in her arms? Could it be a man and his little cat companion? Could it be nothing but a huge iron ring midst an empty room, hanging from nothing to nothing? Could it be him? He isn’t sure, but as he continues to think through the possibilities, he reaches for the knob, grabs a hold of it and turns it. What´s on the other side? What´s there to see? Slowly but surely, he manages to push the heavy oak door open and is greeted.
