But there is a romantic story behind this bitter taste. The title is FEAR & JERA.

And one day, after school, my friend's name mr x (I think you can not remember) invites me to eat soup noodles at Balige market.
Had hesitated to say yes because my Doli Ompung message was firmly planted in my brain. But yes the name of the boy kid naughty 😪😪nan labil yg to keep the unity of friendship 👫 & dignity is not a child (school back home school) 😆😆, I also come.

Go home ...... feel happy & good. And late afternoon, I got diarrhea. I panicked, afraid to get caught Ompung Doli if I snack haphazardly. I immediately ran to the back of the house to grab a leaf of weeds (found only in cold areas) & boiled it. It tastes much more bitter than guava leaf. Back then there was no guava tree.

Glass of boiled water leaves in right hand & sugar in left hand. Drink and eat sugar, drink again and eat more sugar.
I drink while my tears are dripping 😢😢 because of the bitter taste & the aroma of the leaves that I want to vomit. (The difference, bitter guava leaves are not sticking on the tongue, if bitter leaf of thatch sticking).
I continue to complete for fear of getting caught Ompung Doli if diarrhea. The result? Serious!!! My diareku stopped.
After that I JERA snack noodles soup carelessly.

Being a prohibited teenager is like to upset. But finally I know how he (my grandpa) loves me so much, cares bout me, really know that I can get diarrhea easily so sometimes he be lil cruel. Thank you, grandpa. Thank you, Grandpa. Mauliate Ompung Doli my hasi
