SiaCoin About To Go On A Run or Nah?

in siacoin •  8 years ago  (edited)

I was watching an interesting 'review' on Siacoin.

I started to look into this one last night, even downloaded their wallet. The only thing I Didn't like about their wallet is there's no logout button. I also didn't like 'how secure' it is, but that's my personal bias. I get why these companies make it so tough to access a wallet; keeps the bad guys out.

Anyways, here's a good review on Siacoin and also a little commentary on Ripple as well.

Loved the advice on not being impulsive as an investor

Especially with SO many coins out here today. We, as investors have to make smart decisions. The information we take in is only here to help us with those decisions. Not all advice given in a video or an article is accurate. Ultimately we have to figure out the best investment for us.

That's why I like Siacoin ultimately. It's a nice set up, to use a Cloud-based service.

Now is a great time to buy in from what I can see.

For anyone who wants more information on the Siacoin here is yet, another pretty good video.

Let me know if you're currently holding Siacoin or if you're also, like me, looking into it. Also who's still believing in Ripple?

Update July 2, 2017 - Full disclosure, I am a bit bias. I had a tough time getting my account approved on Gatehub. I Wrote about my experience and also got jumped on when I shared that article on Twitter. My account is approved now, but the process was very frustrating. I even lost money in the process as I was directed to a page (on gatehub.net) that, seemingly misled me.

Experiences like that, are what prompt me to wonder if there are possibly other coins that are worth more of my time and energy. With so many coins in the marketplace now, Siacoin has my attention because of it's technology. In so many ways, I feel like that is what is giving Ripple the kind of 'forecast' it has received.

However, with so many blockchain based platforms that will enable us all to send and receive currency ....

Ripple(XRP) stratis (STRAT) MonaCoin (MONA) and SiaCoin (SC) are my top 4 alt choices. They're on sale at this moment except Mona is going up but still under $1. Definitely look into these 4, very promising imo. I invested into these few weeks ago so I am down atm due to the crashes lately, except for Mona, but like I said very promising and I'm a long term guy so I'm not even worried about right now.

I am highly considering MONA as well; as you stated everything is down; GREAT time to Buy; I've seen STRAT and haven't acted yet; but looking forward to grabbing some SC soon. thanks for your input!

We're having a good year @chris77d

Holding, long term. I'm hoping to purchase a nice piece of land off of these some day, so definitely long term on this one.

ha! Not bad to have real goals like those; I'd honestly say the same here - Cannot wait to build my dream house some day, and say it all came from crypto! Good luck!

I am currently holding Siacoin as well as mining. I did also set up to host files as well. But am having some connection problems with that. I believe it is firewall issues with my computer. But am happy to hold siacoin for now. They are cheap and have a real business model behind them.

I really like that platform - downloaded it the other night and like the very thing you pointed out... they have a real business model. People pay for cloud storage now, and often worry about it being 'snooped on' by the companies they are hosting with. So this one has me intrigued; I Plan to pick some up soon.

Siacoin is a great idea, i'm holding some of it, the only issue is the fast that they're is too much coin. The market cap is really big but the ammount of coin make the coin price not moving, or falling a bit. I don't if i have to hold them, can SC grow a lot?

I'm still learning that aspect of the coin universe; the amount of coins do matter, and as the supply decreases the value will go up; So perhaps now is a great time to really pile up? I also noticed that the price has held steady --- i think I want to get some before it starts to climb;

Thank's for your answer and your advise

you're very much welcome!! I'm just one person though and certainly cannot predict the future. That is just what I am thinking. tbh!

good content!!!

thank you for saying that @the-mister7!

You're welcome, it's good information !!!
