Sikhs recite daily, All humanity is one", in their prayers, but don't follow it in their lives. Sikhs are categorized into sub groups on basis: businessmen, farmers, craftsmen, and caste Sikhs. A Sikh contributes generously for construction/renovation of Sikh temples, publication of religious literature, and towards community meals. Most Sikhs willingly abides restriction on smoking. A large proportion of farmers in Punjab indulge in drugs such as opium. It's literally disobeyed from a traditional Sikh mindset. The gender ratio among Sikhs in India from the year 2001 has been 893 females per thousand males.


Due to shortage of Sikh girls for marriage, non Sikh girls are procured,purchased from neighboring states in India. Among affluent Sikh families, females are better off. We all subconsciously believe that we'll not die in the future and we've a long life ahead. We love life and wish to enjoy. Also, are human beings with the imperfections that are inbuilt. If we live a life that is pious, God will take us In His abode - the objective of all souls. The birth/death cycle continues, till God finds us good enough to live with Him in His abode. A reason was in century, which demanded that the Sikh guru hair will not cut.

As Sikhs were rebels, rulers had announced money awards for Sikh heads. Sikhs had no distinguishing appearance till then and once contested by the Muslim soldiers, Are you currently a Sikh?" , they denied. The appearance ensured that persons that were courageous accepted faith, much like new appearance they will not be able to mention that they weren't Sikhs. It's more Sikhs treat the holy book using reverence, but the respect is similar to idol worship. Every Sikh aims becoming a perfect human being: a Khalsa - from Punjabi language. To accomplish this aim Sikhs have to do a lot: understand the religious text and apply the guidelines from the life.
