연식이 좀 되신 모든 분들은 모두들 기억하실 SKT 광고가 있습니다.
1주일에 텔레비젼 시청 시간이 30분도 되지 않는 가정임에도 불구하고 지금도 똑똑히 기억하고 있는 이 광고를 저는 지금껏 보았던 우리나라 광고중 주저하지 않고 NO.1이라고 생각합니다.

오늘은 잠시 모든 이들의 필수품이 되어버린 핸드폰에 대해 저의 짧은 생각을 나눠볼까 합니다.
저 또한 지금의 삶에 있어 핸드폰이 없다면 일도, 가정도, 우정도 지키지 못 할 정도로 심각한 위험에 봉착하게 될 거라 생각합니다.
참 이상하죠. 대학때 처음 갖게 되었던 호출기 소위 삐삐도 지금 핸드폰 만큼 저와 일심동체는 아니었었는데 말이죠.
제게도 핸드폰은 분신과 같은 상황이 되어버렸습니다.

지금 초중고등학생에게 가장 무서운 것은 무서운 어른도 다가올 어려운 일도 아닌
바로 손에 핸드폰이 없는 것 이라고 합니다.
비단 이런 증상은 학생들에게만 나타나는 현상은 아닐거라 생각합니다.
언제부터인지 사람들이 모이면 서로의 얼굴을 보지 않고 핸드폰 화면만 보고 있는 일은 다반사가 되었습니다.
핸드폰에 관한 작금의 상황을 이야기하기 시작하면 아마 끝도 한도 없을거라 생각합니다.

그래서 저는 "또 다른 세상을 만날 때는 잠시 꺼 두셔도 좋습니다"라는 카피가 큰 의미를 갖는다고 생각합니다.

1주일에 적어도 4~5번 1시간30분 정도 아내의 손을 잡고 제가 자주 포스팅 하였던 성내천을 산책하고 옵니다.
그런데 저는 이때 핸드폰을 몸에 지니고 길을 나서지 않습니다.
세상에서 가장 소중한 아내와 얘기하는 즐거운 나의 시간을 핸드폰으로 인해 빼앗기고 싶지 않아서 입니다.

광고에는 인자하신 스님과 동행을 통해 큰 기쁨을 얻는 배우의 표정이 보이지만
나의 인생에 있어 가장 큰 기쁨은 아내와 하루동안의 이야기를 아들의 미래를 우리의 미래를 이야기 하는 시간입니다.

광고의 카피처럼 또 다른 세상을 만날 때 꺼 두는 것이 아닌
또 다른 세상을 만나기 위해 꺼 두어야만 하는 것이 핸드폰이 아닌가 싶습니다.

그러나 핸드폰이 Cell phone이라 불리우듯 이미 우리몸의 세포와 동화된 현재의 상황을 바꾸기에는 역부족일 것이라 생각됩니다.
그래도 한 번쯤은 잠시 꺼두고 오롯이 나의 정신을 더 소중한 곳에 사용해 보시는 것은 어떠실런지요?
