The just concluded annual Steemit in Nigeria event was a huge success.

They event, which is held annually, hosts Steemians all around Nigeria in just one venue with loads of different activities for a specified period of time.

This year's event lasted for a period of 5 days from the 30th of October which commenced the arrival of guests and participants to the 4th of November 2018 which marked the departure of the guests and participants from the event.

This year's event also had many Steemjet members in attendance including leaders of the Spaceforce team @lordjames, @deandaniel, @uchenna, @yungchief, @kristenantai01, @mbj, @empato365 and many others.

During these days, a couple of activities were held and I'll be sharing details on how the event went.

So if you weren't in attendance, keep tabs here as you'll be intimated accordingly.

The day 1 of the event was the arrival of guests and participants from all around Nigeria to the venue which was Abuja. IMG-20181030-WA0034.jpg

Identification tags were also issued out on this day to all participants for easy identification and pass of everyone present. Everyone who came checked into their hotel rooms, got their identification tags and got prepared for the following day.

The second day kicked off with a Blockchain talk by a couple of Blockchain enthusiasts who intimated everyone on what the Blockchain technology is all about.

We had the likes of @iamchrisani, @xpency, @fisteganos and others explain the nitty gritty of Blockchain technology.

In Chris Ani's words, "Blockchain technology is the future", we were made to understand that very soon, Blockchain would take over the world, just like the Internet took over many years back. It is therefore wise that we tap into the future now before it becomes too late.

The conference ended with everyone fully abreast of what the Blockchain technology is all about and we all retired to our respective abodes.

In the evening of the same day, it was time for Suya Night. Everyone gathered by 7:30 pm to have a Blockchain tweet chat over Suya. It was a fun night for everyone as we shared our laughters, pain, fears and many more over Suya.

The third day of the Steemit in Nigeria event was laced with activities as usual.
The mornings are for Yoga classes which is hosted by the Only African Yoga Girl @nigerian-yogagal.

For those interested in Yoga practices, she gave them free yoga sessions and then later on, breakfast was served.
It was amazing getting to eat with different Steemians you've never met before.

The main conference was scheduled to hold by 11 am that day and thereafter, in the evening was the proposed Movie Night.

We paid a sum of #1000 to see a movie at the cinema which is relatively cheap compared to the amount that would have been paid if everyone had gone individually.
We saw the movie Venom and it was obviously interesting.

The next day morning session was for Hackathon; for the developers and coders in the Blockchain Industry. But this event has to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Evenings are always the fun events and this time, it was Karaoke Night where everyone had to sing to the Instrumental of any music of their choice. IMG-20181103-WA0066.jpg

To make it fun, there were some giveaway prizes to be won and in the end, @jesse12 emerged the winner as he was able to wow everyone with his exceptional cover of Stay with me by Sam Smith.

It was indeed an all interesting night as everyone had a dose of fun.

This is the past 1 of the reports. The second part will include some activities by Steemjet members.
