In the speech given in Srinagar, Modi said, "Not only will electricity be provided in this region. The electricity generated in this region can be used at different parts of India. Keeping this in mind, we started working on more than one project here. "Don wrote that besides the Kisanganga hydropower project on Nilam river, India has been working on another 850 MW hydroelectric project on Chenab river.
On Friday, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement that since the Indus Water Treaty Treaty was signed by the intervention of the World Bank, the company should take action on the hydropower project in India, violating the terms of the agreement. The irrigation of 80 percent of agricultural land in Pakistan depends on the water of the Indus River and its branches. The World Bank said they received complaints from the Pakistan regarding hydropower projects. The company wants a peaceful solution between the two parties.
