I thought that the law for imposing additional tax for tobacco also means that liquor products will also get taxed but a separate law is under way as told by the department of Finance Philippines to also impose excise tax to liquor products as well as a part of its sin tax reform law and that is a very nice thing to learn about today because it will benefit every single Filipino in my country.
I am a recipient of my country's Universal Health Care law where all citizens are required to join Philhealth, my country's reasonably affordable healthcare insurance program which really helps to bear a patient's medical bills when they get hospitalized.
This will further boost the funding of the healthcare particularly for dialysis patients like me so I am just hopeful that the recent additional dialysis sessions that will be given will be further be improved which will then uplift the lives of patients under chronic dialysis requirements.
I am happy about this development considering the law for additional liquor taxes is not yet there but I am confident that it will pass just like the tobacco excise taxes which is a law now.
So I am imagining what more further improvement on my benefits I will enjoy soon on top of additional dialysis sessions, it makes me happy for my compatriot patients especially those that have no clear source of income to spend for their own medical needs.
