Japan, powerhouse in boarding -more than a sport..

I just watch the copy of the xgames superpipe 2018 on youtube.  The greatest ever televised snowbaord super pipe - 12 scores  90 or above.  You don't see that many 90s score.  This is probably a record.  Japanese rock in boarding - weather it is skateboarding or snowboarding.  It was another Japanese who won the summer Xgames vert - similar to super pipe.

Hirano, the guy who won was happy, but looked more serious.  I see why the guy is serious.  Japan's economy is in a recession for ages.  Some work a lot to get by.  It may be a culture thing as well, to be successful, but is not easy.  Watching a few video on the economies of both Japan and South Korea, its more than just a sport.  It's real work to them.  If they fail, they'll have economic hardship. There are not too many opportunities that can afford a good living without putting so much time.  People work like robots for long hours, even in a office or most other jobs.  It's not a 9-5, as in the US n West.  The line between people living in the streets is slim.   You can see in both the eyes of this guy and the summer Vert winner, seriousness of economic hard work.   Would you be smiling that much, if you are living in a nation  that is pressed like red grapes in a vat??  You'll smile, but you may not want to make your countrymen feel that bad with their situation.
