Monster Sketches

in sketch •  6 years ago

The Christmas period is not really conducive to getting a lot of work done most of the work I have done (Which was not a lot) was coding and setup work. This is a monster sketch, the sketch is less finished than I want but I am trying to avoid to spending too much time on any individual task. The Orc is also more generic than I would like. I still am not sure if I will go with the fantasy route of if I will try to be more true to life. Historical accuracy is far more difficult especially when you are a single person so I will probably go the fantasy route.

Organizing a game is a lot more difficult than a short film. I would usually track a short film with a spread sheet and lay it out with storyboards. The kind of game I am attempting here is far more open so I have been playing around with various graphing software. Graphs can be far better for family trees, dialog and character interactions.

These are a mind-map for the project it gives an idea of how things are scaling at the moment I am however still experimenting with various other ways of keeping track of the project.

Wow, really looks like organising a game is super complicated ! I like the designs for the monsters, though :) Very nice !

Thanks. I have barely started, this is still the early prototype phase the complexity will continue to ramp up for quite a while.
