The skin needs all kinds of vitamins and minerals to stay healthy, so we need to eat a variety of healthy foods in order to get everything our skin needs. In this blog post, I'll be talking about 14 healthy foods that will help your skin look its best.
Healthy fats
You should be getting healthy fats from sources such as avocados, nuts, and seeds. Healthy fats are fatty acids that help keep skin moist, supple, and glowing - they also make your hair shine and add a natural healthy sheen to the skin.
Vitamin A
Get plenty of vitamin A in your diet by eating foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, or spinach for example. The vitamins will give you healthy skin cells which not only produce new skin but prevent wrinkles too.
Antioxidants
Don't forget about all those antioxidants either! Antioxidants come in many different forms including beta carotene found in foods like apricots, red peppers, or broccoli; lycopene found in tomatoes; lutein found in leafy greens; and vitamin C found in oranges, strawberries, or citrus.
Proteins
Protein is important for healthy skin too! Make sure you're getting enough protein by eating foods like eggs, fish, beans, or lean cuts of meat. Protein builds healthy cells which not only produce new skin but also prevent wrinkles - healthy cells make your skin tight and wrinkle-free!
Vegetables
Green leafy vegetables are a must-have on any healthy diet list so add plenty to your plate during meals. Once again these veggies are excellent sources of antioxidants that help prevent wrinkles as well as give the skin its natural luster and glow we all want it to have."

Omega-3 fatty acids help keep skin adequately hydrated, and a deficiency in omega-3s can lead to dry skin. Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and herring are excellent sources of omega-3s.
Water
Drinking plenty of water can also be healthy for your skin because it helps flush toxins out from the blood and cells. Drink at least eight glasses every day!
