The SmartCard is finished and will be released by July 15th according to the latest comments on SmartCash discord.
SmartCard is a break through in merchant and user friendly Crypto.

The key is that it's not a debit card that uses the fiat systems at all.
It is its own self contained payment method.

Yes, thanks for making this clear. The SmarCard does not rely on the legacy banking or credit card systems at all. The SmartCard user does not even need a smart phone nor Internet to use it. When user goes to checkout merchant just scans SmartCard and user types in the pin to authorize amount on the merchant's point of sale. This is the most user friendly Crypto payment systems I have ever seen or heard of. I am very excited to see this launch to the public. IMO developing countries have huge need for the SmartCard both in payments and a secure "store of value".

Not yet. They are coming out in July. I read from the hive team working on this in the Discord that they are already done and just need to be rolled out. It's not a credit card but rather a 100% decentralized way for Merchants and Users to more easily transact with SmartCash. On the Merchant side they'll have a POS app, while users can just pre-load cards and use them via Merchant POS, pin verify sale.

I've never heard of smartcash. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Still, if it actually delivered what it aims too it would be worth much more. Need to be able to actually buy things with it.
