Hands-on images of Redmi 5 Plus spotted on Weibo
After the success of the Redmi 4 series, Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Redmi 5 lineup now. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is apparently planning four budget phones under the new series. The devices are - Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5A. The retail box of the Redmi Note 5 and 5 Plus leaked a couple of weeks ago. Now, some hands-on images of the Redmi 5 Plus have been spotted on the Chinese micro-blogging site - Weibo. The leaked photos show both front and back design of the device. Looks like, Redmi 5 Plus will be a big phone with thin bezels.
Going by the leaked pictures, it seems Redmi 5 Plus will come with thin bezels on all four sides. At the top of the display will be the speaker grilles and front camera. While at the bottom - like most of the Redmi phone - the upcoming Redmi 5 Plus may not have the capacitive buttons. Instead, the device is expected to come with on-screen buttons. The images further show the device with the antenna lines and circular fingerprint sensor at the center.
Now coming to the camera department, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to come with dual cameras at the rear panel. In that case, the upcoming Redmi 5 Plus will be different from the Redmi 4 series phones, which come with a single back camera. Below the back cameras will be the fingerprint sensor and also the LED flash. So, it is expected that Xiaomi brainstorming at improving the camera department for the coming Redmi 5 Plus.

The device - Redmi 5 Plus has been subjected to several leaks and rumors already and the Chinese smartphone company is expected to announce the phone very soon, possibly by early next year. However, Xiaomi hasn't confirmed anything about the Redmi 5 Plus, or if at all the company is working on it.
Going by the leaked specifications, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to come with a 5.9-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. This yet again indicates at thin bezels. Furthermore, the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to be powered by either by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 or Snapdragon 450 processor. Coming to the camera department, the device is expected to come with two cameras - which even the newly leaked hands-on images show. The device may come with a primary camera of the 12-megapixel sensor, while the secondary cam may include a 5-megapixel sensor. As of now, there are no details about the front camera.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is reportedly working on another device called the Redmi Note 5. This phone is said to succeed the Redmi Note 4, which according to Xiaomi is the most popular as well best-selling device at the moment. The device has been subjected to several rumors already. Going by the leaks, the upcoming Redmi Note 5 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch full HD display, MediaTek Helio P25 SoC octa-core processor. The device may come in two variants, one with the 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the second model may sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
