Snow will fall. We have similar reaction to it here in Vancouver. We really don't get a lot and people are not accustomed to driving in it. Public transit does a pretty good job getting through and the trains are little affected by it. We expect delays and accept them. And we get out there and have a good time. Winter-themed fun in the city is in short supply and so we get it when the going is good. I went snowshoeing in Stanley Park last week and I was a little disappointed with how fast our parks board got the walks cleared. It meant I had to take my shoes off and then put them back on when I got across. But I walk everywhere and didn't have to be anywhere on the button. So I could go with it. My karate class was cancelled. That was a bit of a bummer. But all in all, it was an enjoyable experience. This is rarely the case when watching the news. Wishing you some warm weather and soon:)

I'd love to see a video of you doing karate in the snow lol that would be fun.

You may have to wait a very long time for that:):):)

I'm very patient lol meanwhile here's what my car is looking like. I'm not going anywhere soon haha!

Spot on sir ! It's that same treadmill of "looking busy" till everyone turns their back. I will say that I have seen some people really trying their best with it, the schools particularly as it's not easy with all the safety concerns. But overall the country stops.. I had both my phone service provider and the bank text me to say they had staff out due to the weather and so calls may require additional waiting time.

This won't be the last time we get a snow storm, so defnitely won't be the last time we see this cycle sadly..

Yep same old, same old. Interesting comment Westley:

Is it snowing in India too? lol

Couldn’t have put it better myself! It seems so bafffling that a country like ours can not cope with a few inches of snow without news headlines, closed schools and chaos!

It sure is a shocker every time it happens. It's just so sensationalized. As if there is nothing better to be informing us about?

Beautiful,good work ..

Thanks lol

That is a wee bit of snow you have there! Enjoy your warm beverages for the next couple of days. :)

I've been hitting the warm milk drinks big time lol The 'snowstorm' was very short lived.

Much better for us in Derbyshire today but now have flood warnings and freezing fog...

Yep it's pretty much all gone from here in Cambridgeshire, at least where I am and just like you we are now expecting flooding. East Anglia is basically one big floodplain

Remember to make a snowball or two! You are so spot on about the media formula. I gave up on TV news 20 years ago and have never felt that I have missed a thing!

You have missed something. A lot of unnecessary stress and FUD. lol
Snowballs me? No way am I getting soaked :)

Yeah, it was a conscious choice. If there is a topic that I wish to know more about I search out written detailed info from a source I hope I can trust.
Ha! I won't wait for pictures of your snowman, then.

the snow was so bad and the wind was sideways here so that we had almost no driving visibility and my 76 year old MOM was like. "I think I'll go to McDonalds and get a hamburger.."
Yup... Jersey Girl

"The more things change, the more they stay the same" with regasrd to politics and the "blame game." @molometer
I will say your certainly got your share of snowfall and it does look gorgeous! Drive safely -- there may be some "snow virgins" on the road for their first drive behind the wheel in the sbmnow!
