Archaeological Museum of Tetouan

The Museum of Ancient Antiquities in Tetouan shows the prehistoric period of the Islamic history in the Maghreb. The museum displays a wide range of ancient artifacts that reveal the life style of the ancient historical period. The archaeological museum of Tetouan is located between the ancient city of Tetouan and the new Spanish Quarter. The museum, which was established in 1939, displays many artifacts and archaeological remains that refer to the history of the northern regions of Morocco and were discovered during the excavations conducted at the beginning of the 20th century.
