I still largely prefer the look of black and white for certain things. Somehow, the shadow brings out the best contrast, such as in this picture of rain drops on a bush. Not sure what kind of shrub or mini tree or whatever it is, but it grows near my house and, in the summer, sprouts most likely poisonous berries.
