The Church of the Holy Mother of God

The Church of the Holy Mother of God in the Asen’s fortress in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria.
The Asen‘s fortress is very old fortress. It was important fortress in the old Thracians later by Ancient Roman and Early Byzantine period.
In 1231 during the rule of Bulgarian tsar Ivan Asen II was builded the The Church of the Holy Mother of God.
