Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum syn Lycopersicum esculentum) is a plant of the Solanaceae family, native to Central and South America, from Mexico to Peru.

Tomato fruit is one type of fruit vegetables are very well known by the community. The taste of tomatoes is sweet-fresh sweet that can give freshness to the body.

This plant has green, yellow, and red berries that are commonly used as a vegetable in cooking or eaten directly without being processed. Tomatoes have stems and leaves that can not be consumed because it is still a family with potatoes and eggplant containing Alkaloid.

Tomato plants include seasonal crops (short-lived). This means that the plant only reproduces once and then dies. Tomato plants shaped approximately 2 meters. Therefore, tomato plants need to be supported or straight from bamboo or wooden turf so as not to collapse on the ground but grow vertically or (up).

This plant grows in my backyard. happy to see it is ripe and turn red ..to remind me again I captured it by my smartphone.
