Vine Snake (Thelotornis capensis)
One of the Deadly Dozen of South Africa and the only Deadly Dozen Snake that there is no anti snakebite serum for.
This is because this snake is very shy, well camouflaged and lives in trees - so it very rarely bites a human!
When threatened, it inflates it's throat with air. This is it's threat display. In this attitude, it may strike, but given the chance, it will escape to safety.
