This snake is NON VENOMOUS!!!
Last minute today around sunset I had a hunch. A hunch that said down by the pond I would find a snake. Sure enough I was right! Down by the pond we have a dinghy. Under the dinghy there he was, a nice sized water snake. I'm guessing he was about two and a half to three foot long or so.
The Ozarks are the home for about seven or eight different species of harmless NON VENOMOUS water snakes. The Yellow Bellied Water Snakes have a plain solid yellow belly. Their backs are a solid brown to a dark brown without any markings. No diamonds, stripes, bands, or other colors, just a solid brown back.
Even though this snake was a mean one, he calmed down rather quickly after handling him a few minutes. He only managed to bite me a few times. On my wrist, hand, and finger. Believe me it didn't hurt. I get bit by these damn things all the time. It only looks like it hurt.

Me neither! Snakes are awesome! People who hate snakes suck. Another reason why I'm such a nihilistic misanthropist. Which is good because like 99.9% of the population hate snakes. And I don't like people. I find that if you walk around with a snake around your neck, people tend to leave you alone. GOOD! One way to keep these tide pod eaters away from you. Yeah he was a pretty snake for a water snake. I liked his solid chocolate brown color. I didn't have time really to be messing with him or else I would of gotten more pictures. I had just enough time to get these and then let him go back down at the pond. It was fun catching him though.

I truly have no fear of snakes. It doesn't hurt when they bite. So I just grab them and let them bite the Hell out of me. It freaks people out but I'm amused by it. The water snakes are the meanest so they would make a great video.

If I had more time I would of made a video with that water snake I caught. He did bite me a few times. But I need to find me one that is bigger and meaner. That one there calmed down to quickly after catching him.

HA HA no I don't eat any reptilians. Although I am from Florida and down there they love eating reptilians. They eat it all from Gators to Soft Shell turtle.
Have you seen the snakes @papa-pepper has been catching lately? He caught a cute little Pygmy Rattlesnake two days ago. I still have yet to catch a rattlesnake.

I'm not a 100% but we did go out "witching" for water around the creek near the house and the copper wires we were using crossed each other all around that area. So I would say yes. We have water all around there. So we might be putting a well in. We will see, we don't know yet what we are going to do yet. For now I'm going to say yes that is indeed a spring.
