Snape Chat launches a new Snap Map feature !...

                     

The next big feature for Snape Chat is that you want to get to meet with friends in real life instead of just watching each other's lives on their phones. Snap Map lets you share your current location, which appears to friends on the map and updates when you open Snape Chat. It's rolling today for all IOS and Android users globally.

She says Snat Chat:

"We have built a whole new way to explore the world! See what happens, find your friends, and get inspired to go on an adventure."

How to use the Snap Map feature:

When you open Snape Chat once you have the feature, you can choose to share your location with all your friends, and a few friends you choose, you can hide them from the map at any time by going to stealth mode or not opening Snape Chat for a few hours. Instead, site sharing is turned off by default, and you can only leave it this way, and see what your friends are up to.

To access Snap Map, press your home screen camera. From there, you can scroll around to see where friends are in your city or around the world. By clicking on their "ActionMoji" they open their story to show what they are, or their messenger lets you directly arrange to meet. Snape Chat automatically chooses ActionMoji for you based on your location, time and other factors.

                    

Snape also reports that Snap Map is designed to enhance communication between people and relatives, which account for nearly 60 percent of Snape Chat interactions according to Sparkler data commissioned by Snap.

These new ways of browsing content can earn Snape Chat more money by getting users to watch more Snaps, even if they are not trying to meet up with friends.

Overall, Snap Map creates a low-friction way of knowing where your friends are addicted to Snapchat.
