LOL! Welcome. There are LOTS of tutorials for doing whatever you want to do here. My opinion... If I had it to do over I would make 10 to 20 comments a day. Go to the "New" tab, pick a topic that interests you in the tags. Look at the reputation scores of the authors. Shoot for people like me, mid 50s. We are finally getting some "vote power" but we still need followers. We are motivated to actually INTERACT with our followers. The "whales" are not. You will see a lot of advice about follow the whales and comment there, but they are TOO BUSY, and some of them too arrogant. They just don't upvote us "little guys," they are busy having a circle jer.... Kick me if I get too crude... but they make money voting each other up, they do it with bots without even reading each other's work. Utopia, it ain't, but it is a VERY unique community. Hang out here in the slums with us poor slobs, and we can all lift each other up. BUT, your reputation score goes up when people with a HIGHER rep upvote you, so a certain amount of butt kissing is definitely advantageous.
FOr now, upvote at will but soon you will find your upvote is actually worth a penny! A glorious day that will be, my friend. You will be stunned how exciting that moment will be... lol! But then you will need to start learning about your vote power and how to use it wisely. Go to this site, replace my username with your username and bookmark the page.

I could have just put your name in but I want to make a point. You can put ANY user name in and get the info. This is a very transparent media, get used to doing what you do in front of God and everyone.
Hmm, rambling... OK, 10 to 20 comments per day and 1 post a day if you have something you WANT to post, something you feel you can make into a GOOD post. You have to build a following before doing posts will earn you much, but it is a good idea to start the habit. Just keep the expectations LOW. Very low. Like, expect nothing, then you can't be disappointed.
When you have been here for a week or two, THEN do a post with the "introduceyourself" tag. You will have a better idea what is going on here and how to make that post count.
