I honestly have no idea what I'm doing or why I'm doing it, but I've seen too many people that I follow who have jumped on this opportunity so here I am...adding SNAX to my list of platforms to pay attention to.
I'm not sure if I'm too late for the bounty program, but here goes.
According to their front page:
- You can get rewarded in crypto for your posts.
- You can send tokens to friends and fellow bloggers on other social media
- You get 50 SNAX airdropped into your wallet for signing up
I think I missed the bounty period
Looks like the bounty period ended yesterday, May 31, 2019. Ah well...
I can look at it as too little too late or I can see this as an opportunity to still be an early adopter.
What is SNAX?
Paraphrased from their FAQ
Snax is a blockchain platform that was was created for people to receive rewards for their online social engagement like tweets and Instagram posts. It allows users to make free instant micropayments without leaving their favorite social platform.
I'm not entirely sure what "without leaving their favorite social platform" means. For example, if Twitter was my favorite platform, can I assume that I can reward a fellow Tweeter? I don't know yet, but it will be interesting to find out.
So far, it appears that Snax only supports Twitter for off-chain activity.
The Snax team and more information is available in the following locations:

Hi, @merej99, @ryivhnn, I am from @SnaxTeam.
You can read about Snax in our whitepaper https://snax.one/whitepaper.pdf or in one of the many reviews on Steem, for example https://steemit.com/snaxbountyoprogram/@milaan/review-of-snax-as-a-decentralized-social-media-overlay-for-monetizing-content-with-existing-popular-social-media. @ryivhnn, you can use Brave, Opera or other chromium browser. I know, some of steemians uses Yandex browser mobile app

Thanks, will see how I go on Brave as last I checked it didn’t do add-ons. I’ve skimmed a few review articles as they come up in my feed, will check out the white paper after I’ve had coffee so I might actually understand it 😜

That's really cool, @sweetsnax I'll definitely read the whitepaper and try to use it on Brave

I should probably get onto this thing as well. Which means I need to find out if it supports steem or specifically steemit as if it's the latter it's not going to do me much good XD
Also need to find out if there's a Firefox add-on as last I checked (a bit ago) there was only a Chrome add-on and I refuse to use Chrome.

I'm a fan of Chrome and Vivaldi because I like them better than Explorer, though, I really should get myself on Brave. I don't know why I never think about Firefox. By looking at their roadmap and not actually knowing what SNAX is, my best guess is that it will probably work a lot like TokenPocket or WhaleVault.

Brave is pretty good, hasn’t been able to become my main browser because last I checked it didn’t do add-ons and I kinda need steem keychain (everything else I use is supposedly built in or at least built in enough).

Okay correction it does Chrome add-ons now (ew lol), shows how much attention I've been paying to it (it's on my computer XD) but you've probably long since worked that one out :)
Also they seem to have changed/extended the bounty period?
As far as I can tell from mucking around it seems like I have to do this thing first before being able to authenticate with steem and I don't write about things I don't know about so I guess I'm going to have to wait and see if they'll let people on in a normal fashion later XD
ps - correction, I may have an idea, now I'll just have to see if I have time to pull it off XD
