Social networking, we have all likely heard of it before, but not everyone knows what it means?

Would you be able to give an accurate definition of social networking if someone asked you? Unfortunately, most people cannot, despite the fact that they are likely to engage in some type of social networking, particularly online.
The term "social networking" refers to the gathering of people into specific groupings, such as a small town or a neighbourhood. Although social networking can be done in person, particularly in schools or at work, it is more prevalent online. This is because, unlike most high schools, colleges, or workplaces, the internet is home to millions, if not billions, of people who want to meet and form relationships with other internet users.
