United are off to a bright start and are attacking well. By the 29th minute, United score again. Herrera receiving a ball from Pogba and blasting it into the top right corner from 30 yards, despite a deflection off the back of Cunningham.
United dominating the game after the second goal, are looking dangerous each time they break forward. Cardiff soon get a chance when they are awarded a penalty. Camarasa takes the penalty and sends the ball into the top left corner. A wonderful penalty kick, but looking at the final score line, hard to see it as anything more than a consolation goal for Cardiff. United come straight back at Cardiff, scoring just three minutes after the penalty. With Martial being the one to find the net and give United their third goal of the game.
United go into the second half with a 3-1 lead and are already looking good for the win. United continue the second half like the first, with dominance of the ball and wonderful attacking flair. Lingard gets taken down 10 minutes into the second half and United are awarded a penalty kick. Lingard then goes on to take it and gives United their fourth goal.
By the 90th minute, United still go on to add to the troubles of their opponents. Lingard meets a ball from Pogba and goes on to score his second goal of the game. The whistle is finally blown with Manchester United 5-1 up. It was a wonderful performance from what is looking to be a rejuvenated Manchester United under new management.
