I'm only about a decade late.... But, I finally made a twitter.
I really don't know what took me so long, because I have been wanting to make one for a while. Mostly so that I can call out politicians on their bullshit and maybe indulge in some minor celebrity trolling. Fuck knows what I will actually use it for at this point, but I have one now and I need some people to follow.

Where it says @Lucid_Steemer on the post, if you click it actually takes you to my twiter. But, I realise now that it looks like a steemit link, so people probably aren't bothering to click it.

Yes, your link in your post goes to twitter and I followed it to follow you on Twitter. But unless a person makes their twitter handle into a link using the HTML "a" tag, it will be turned into a link to a steemit profile page, by the steemit code that processes the comments on this site. Plus, underscores terminate a link, so for example, in the rely I am relying to, your twitter handle links to https://steemit.com/@lucid which may or may not be you. :-)
